Do you recycle? I know I do, so when it comes to traveling I like to check out my options in eco-friendly traveling. It is a fact, traveling has an impact on the environment. I was very happy to discover Eco Traveling, a place filled with great articles about alternative and traditional ways of traveling around the globe. It seems that the demand for eco-tourism is rising drastically. Even resorts are looking into how they could make their resort eco-friendly, which means it will keep the nature as natural as possible, without affecting it. If you’re looking into ecotraveling, you can find really good guidelines at Ecotour.
Another trend in the traveling scene is that you keep it clean. A lot of people seem to take disinfectants, shower shoes, towels,… when they go out and explore the world. Are you one of them? Do you wash your hands more often when you’re in a different country? Planes are real germ packed areas, as are any other kind of public transport, restaurants, airports, etc.
Apart from looking into ecotraveling, I also love to discover unusual places in the world. Although they aren’t the cheapest places to stay at most of the time, they’re worth visiting and from time to time you can get some real deals. When you’re looking for a boutique hotel or a hip hideaway, it’s worth to check out i-escape.com or the unusual hotels of the world. Here you can find everything from lighthouses, caves to floating boats, castles and even igloos.
Other great adventures that should be considered are girlfriend getaways. Women all over the world start to leave their men at home and getting around all by themselves. At Journeywoman women can find out just about anything they need to know to plan their trips.
Remember: keep it clean, green and adventurous!
