And the Winner is…
April 23, 2008
We might have underestimated the enthusiasm of our passionate writers, as we received an overwhelming number of great stories from all over the world for our $150 Writing Contest. Nonetheless, we were very pleased that the contest received an eager response from both writers and readers alike. We do apologize for the late announcement, but we assure you that judging a contest for these talented writers was not an easy task!
As we have published before, from all the submissions received, we narrowed down our contestants into three finalists: My Africa: Biking Through The Dark Continent, Values, Principles, and Love, and Airplane Smell.
After a series of brainstorming sessions by our brilliant judges, we are now proud to announce that the winner of our $150 Writing Contest is Daniel Gold, who wrote My Africa: Biking Through the Dark Continent and is now entitled to the $150 prize. Congratulations, Daniel!
We would like to thank the entire contestant for submitting their stories, as well as the compassionate judges who have helped us throughout the contest: Mike from Vagabondish, Tim from The Brave New Traveler, and Olivia and Rowena, our two previous contests winners. And one more thing—don’t rest your pens yet; we still have another contest to come in May. Details of the contest will be announced soon, so start up your engines and get that creative infatuation working!
